My mum has always said the 1960 is one of the great decades there has been, I have always thought that was because she was born in that decade. For a current brief we had been given to research into textiles and into two different decades so I choose the 1960 s to try and understand why my mum loved it so much. Marie Claire December 2010 had a 1960 s designer in which I was really taken back by. (picture above) Using Veruschka, a famous German model in the 60s. The designer is Sharon Wauchob. I love the use of scale here and how it has been enlarged to make it bespoke the fur on the inside of the garment makes it have a winter animalistic feel. The design remands me of a cuckoo preparing for a change.
